People always see themselves reflected in others..

this beautiful Prologue from Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist:

The Alchemist picked up a book that someone in
the caravan had brought. Leafing through the pages,
he found a story about Narcissus.

The alchemist knew the legend of Narcissus, a youth
who daily knelt beside a lake to contemplate his own beauty.
He was so fascinated by himself that, one morning, he fell
into the lake and drowned. At the spot where he fell, a flower
was born, which was called the narcissus.

But this was not how the author of the book ended the
story.

He said that when Narcissus died, the Goddesses of the
Forest appeared and found the lake, which had been fresh
water, transformed into a lake of salty tears.
"Why do you weep?" the Goddesses asked.
"I weep for Narcissus," the lake replied.
"Ah, it is no surprise that you weep for Narcissus," they
said, "for though we always pursued him in the forest, you
alone could contemplate his beauty close at hand."
"But..... was Narcissus beautiful?" the lake asked.
"Who better than you to know that?" the Goddesses said
in wonder, "After all, it was by your banks that he knelt each
day to contemplate himself!!"

The lake was silent for some time.

Finally it said:
"I weep for Narcissus, but I never noticed that Narcissus
was beautiful. I weep because, each time he knelt beside my
banks, I could see, in the depths of his eyes, my own beauty
reflected
."

"What a lovely story," the alchemist thought.

So meaningful story. It makes me wonder how do others feel in reflection to my eyes....

People always see themselves reflected in others.
This reminds me of everything. I see her and
I see myself. The more I discover her, she is
like me the more I love her ..

Finding Peace Amidst Chaos:

why are happiness, peace and contentment are not a part of real
life.. is it possible to be calm, to be at peace even when world around
us is not..

world around us does not have to determine the way we feel about
our lives.others should not change the way i am, our action should
not be decided by whats others think about us..

when there’s a will to find peace, there is a way to attain peace..

no matter how much chaos surrounds us, we can always find things
that make us feel joy and calm.It could be listening kishore kumar's
jolly mood songs or calling my best friend and havin nice gossip ..
and suddenly frustration over a heated argument with annoying
colleague in office...will disappear.. seem absurd..

its important to take few minutes of complete silence.. each day, just
walking outside in evening, watching smiley face of kids playing in
apartment complex, playground, forgetting everything, all issues
of office work, forgetting all chaos around.. and just taking a deep
breathe and diving in swimming pool :-)

some wise man said, there is no education like adversity. the moment
we start seeing positive aspects in our adversities, we feel true
happiness. may be god put us in adverse situation so that we are
prepared and equipped to handle future challenges in life, amicably.
its just kind of training... the confidence of shining through strife.

the world enjoys suffering and pain.. all rosy pictures.. around..
beautiful life for ever, will never bring true happiness.. its roller
coaster of happiness and sorrow which keeps charm of life.

beautiful life and conflicts

Some things are so beautiful:

A sunrise at nandi hills.
A sweet child's smiling.

A breeze on a rainy afternoon.
Money in your jeans pocket when you have forgotten :-)

My manager announcing that he don't mind me sleeping
in office meeting as long as I don't snore.

Those late night stay at office and boss giving pizza party

A long drive on the highway with friends when I need to unwind.
A surprise that I always wanted.

Food cooked by mom.
A best friend’s hug.

A midnight walk on nariman point sea coast in mumbai.
Midnight walks. Yeah, I love those...
( but i live in bangalore, and night life is not safe,
PS: by night life I dont mean pub/disc, simply walking on beach..
with friends... thanks to French Embassy, who always call me to their
mumbai embassy office, located on Nariman point, for VISA interview)

Life is full of so many precious moments.
Enjoy them all
Kal Ho Na Ho :-)

Today I read your blog again:
"Morning Rose why do u cry ...
Are they tears or dew from sky "

So much emotions in those few lines..

thank you for coming across my life and sharing beautiful
words.this means a lot to me.we forget those good times
and nice words. when we are angry, and share harsh words,
but this does not mean we have less respect for that person.

those conflicts are momentarily, and your values, your
words, your intelligence your worthiness, I will treasure always.

Conflicts:
is conflict good or bad.. ?
conflict is good when the outcome is a win-win resolution.
conflict is good when the relationship between the people
in conflict is strengthened as a result of the conflict...

conflict gives us a chance to know both side of a person..
..conflict can help build a relationship with understanding
and respecct....conflict opens minds to new previously

unexplored possibilities... possibility of new way of approaching
chanllenges.. healthy conflicts in thoughts are good as long as we
are true from heart.

So conflicts and fights with her will bring new possibility
of understanding our relationship.. thanks for those fights
and conflicts :-)

few lines i am re-posting..

I cannot exist without you. I am forgetful of everything but seeing you.
My life seems to stop there, I see no further. you have absorb'd me.
I have a sensation at the present moment as though I were dissolving...

I decided to watch Peaceful Warrior movie today:
here is some nice conversation between MillMan and Socrates:

Millman: Life has just three rules?
Millman: Paradox, humour, and change.
Socrates: Paradox...
Millman: Life is a mystery. Don't waste time trying to figure it out.
Socrates: Humour...
Millman: Keep a sense of humour, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure.
Socrates: Change...
Millman: Know that nothing stays the same.
